A group of artists living in the neighborhood of Williamsburg in Brooklyn struggle to maintain a rather dysfunctional family of friends in a post-9/11 world that is challenged with gentrification, deception, and sterilization.
主人公里奥是位布鲁克林的画家，最近他和当地一个房地产商签订了一个很不光彩的协定——在四个月内，将一幅挂在某家咖啡馆里的图画仿造六份。此事过后不久，里奥的工作进展的很顺利，开始在艺术界崭露头角，并与一位女孩陷入爱河。然而他没有想到自己当初所伪造的画作造成了很恶劣的后果……
